DG Khan board was established in 1989. The districts which are linked to the BISE DG Khan are Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah and Rajanpur. The name of its present chairman is Faizullah Tehreen. BISE DG Khan board conduct the 9th class examination in March. 9th class is the first part of matriculation. A large number of students take part in this examination. The board rewards to the passing students with degrees and certificates. These certificates are very valuable for the students specially who want to take admission in colleges for higher secondary education.

The BISE DG Khan conduct the SSC & HSSC examination in all over the region which affiliated to the board. Before the 9th class examination board conduct the 10th class examination. The students of SSC are divided into the 3 major groups like science group, arts group and general science group. Both regular and private candidates choose one of three groups. The board issue the roll no slips to the all candidates before one week from the examination. The date sheet ususlly issued one month ago from the examination.

Boards of intermediate and secondary education conduct HSSC examination every year to check the improvement in the higher secondary education in all over the Punjab. All the boards of Punjab announce the schedule of examination as well as result at the same time. BISE Multan Board, BISE Lahore Board, BISE Gujranwala Board, BISE Faisalabad Board, BISE Sahiwal Board, BISE Sargodha Board, BISE Rawalpindi Board, BISE DG Khan Board and FBISE federal board are the names of the boards included in Punjab board. Before the examination students have to register themselves with their related boards. Now the all boards of Punjab have announced the last date of registration for the HSSC examination. The all boards arranged the various programs related to the intermediate like F.A, F.Sc, ICS, I.Com and D.Com etc.

The 12th of the February is the last date which is announced by the boards for the registration of HSSC examination. The registration fee is 1000 rupees this year. After the last date fee will be double or triple till 3rd of March. The candidates who want to participate in these examination they have to register themselves online. After the registration the boards will announce the examination schedule. The date sheet will be announce in month of April hopefully. Usually one month ago from the exams the board issue the date sheet. Last year exams were conducted in May. In this year it is expected that exams will be starting from 7th of May but it is not confirmed still now.
