Multan board is one of the oldest authority of Punjab. This board was established in 1968. The main purpose of this board is to conduct the examination of class matric and inter. The board conducts the exams for class 8th and 5th under the PEC. PEC is the commanding body which conducts the exams of 5th and 8th class in round about 36 cities of Punjab. PEC was formed in 2005 and conducting the exams of primary and middle from 2006. It is answerable to the ministry of education about the standard of education at primary and middle level. Multan board works over the districts of Lodhran, Vihari and Multan. Till the 2012 the cities of Sahiwal and Pakpattan were also the parts of this board. These cities separated due to the increasing population and increasing educational needs.

Multan board conducted the exams of class 5th at the third week of February under the Punjab examination commission. The exams were conducted in very fair and clear way. The board registered the students for the exams in the month of October and the last date of registration was 10th October. One month ago from the exams the board issued the date sheet of this class but after that the board issued the revised date sheet of these exams only a few days ago from the exams. The date sheet was uploaded at this page as announced officially. The board of Multan takes almost one month after the exams in announcement of result. It is expected that the result will be announced at the 31st the March.
