Abbottabad board is the most important part of the KPK. It start its function in 1990. It holds the 5 cities under the Abbottabad board which are Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram and Kohistan. The conduction of unbiased examination is the main responsibility of this board. The board is divided into two parts one part is the responsible for the conduction of SSC examination and other is special for the HSSC examination. The current chairman of Abottabad board is Iftikhar ul Mulk.
The Abbottabad board conducts the examination of SSC & HSSC regularly in the months of March and April. There are 3 groups of SSC like science, arts and general science. The board organize the examination of all these groups at a same time. F.A, F.Sc, ICS, I.Com are the various groups of intermediate (HSSC). A large number of students participate in these examination as regular and private candidates. Date sheets of these exams announced usually 30 days ago from the examination.
Abbottabad and all other boards of KPK announce the date sheet of the SSC & HSSC at the same time and conduct the exams at same time as well. Now very soon the Abbottabad board is going to declare the date sheet of matriculation and intermediate examination.
