Bahawalpur board was separated from Multan board in 1977. It was separated due to the large number of students in Multan board. Bahawalpur board started working in 1978. In 1989 it was decided to build a new building for the board. New building started to build up in 1991 and completed in 1993 then board shifted in the new building. For SSC and intermediate certificates a great number of students take part in these examinations. After passing these examinations board issue the certificates to the students.
The BISE Bahawalpur organized the SSC exams in March or in April as other boards. The SSC exams in Bahawalpur board are started from 2nd March this year. Students have one month for their final preparation. Mostly one month ago Bahawalpur board announce the 10th class date sheet. Nearly one week before from exams board issue the roll no slips to regular and private candidates. The students are waiting for date sheets which have to issue by board.
